The 2017 Black & Gold Gala will be held on April 7, 2017. This year’s Gala, to be held at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences, will feature an elegant reception and dance as well as a silent auction. All proceeds benefit the WVSU Foundation to support the University's students and programs.

We are especially pleased this year to be honoring three outstanding community and business leaders - Diane Strong-Treister, President of Manpower, Gregory A. Burton, CEO of BrickStreet Insurance, and R. Charles Byers, Ph.D., Provost and Vice President Emeritus for WVSU Academic Affairs. 

In addition to honoring our Community and Business Leaders, the following generous donors will be recognized: The Maier Foundation, Dr. Lateef Y. Saffore and Dr. S. Y. Aranmolate-Saffore, The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation, Saundra B. McCray, Donna L. Skeen and Jade M. Weinkauf.
