4-H Youth Development Fund

4-H is America’s largest youth development organization with programming delivered by Cooperative Extension—a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provide experiences where young people learn by doing. The core mission of 4-H is to guide young people in leadership development, career and life skills, and civic engagement grounded in agriculture and natural resources.  4-H also supports programs related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) as well as healthy living.  

West Virginia State University Extension Service’s (WVSUES) 4-H program delivers on that mission, providing youth throughout Southern West Virginia with hands-on activities that foster curiosity, nurture growth, and encourage action. Many of WVSUES’s 4-H programs focus on STEM as well as career exploration. Topics include cybersecurity, neuroscience, engineering, drones, robotics, pollinators, and more! Donors who support the 4-H Youth Development program help provide West Virginia’s youth with opportunities that build their knowledge and empower them with tools to conquer today’s challenges and shape tomorrow’s world.
